Ten Buck Fridays

A great idea from Conscientiously Conservative:
Ten Buck Fridays started today for me. I donated $10 to Teresa Collett's campaign for 4th Congressional District in Minnesota. Many of us get paid on Fridays... if we bring a sack lunch a couple of times a week to work, right there is an extra tenner. What if conservatives donated $10 each and every week up through November to viable candidates and/or PAC's that are promoting a conservative agenda? If you can't afford every week, what about twice a month? Or once a month? Conservatives need to put their money where their mouth is. Commit to Ten Buck Fridays... it WILL make a difference come November!
Ten Buck Fridays is a great idea, and I think it's one that should really catch on.

I'd like to join with conservative bloggers and conservatives on twitter to focus attention on a different candidate each week. Each week, deserving candidates could be nominated. Polling through the next several days could determine the crowd favorite...and on Friday, a good conservative would be hit with a grassroots moneybomb!

Imagine what a thousand grassroots conservatives could accomplish in unison. Ten thousand dollars a week would grab a lot of attention and could help some candidates who really need it.

Who will join us?

This week: Sharon Angle.* Next week, you decide.

Please leave nominations in the comments section below.

Update: Mind Numbed Robot is on board!

*Suggestion: Please leave the note "Ten Buck Fridays" in one of the optional fields of the donation form. Label your donation!

I'll start by nominating Christine O’Donnell.

Back in the day, the last time Jerry Brown ran for governor, I thought it would be a good idea to have a "Bag Brown" lunch.
Carry your lunch to work in a paper sack and contribute what you normally would have spent for lunch to help defeat Gov. Moonbeam.

We may need to reinstitute that this year...

Good idea. I'll take that as a nomination for Whitman.

After reading this blog, I feel like having a drink! Which I'm gonna do. Michelle Obama, the FDA and the Gestapo Salt Police can bite me.

For the first time in my adult life, I'm ashamed of my government.

They speak my language… BHO is not a good president, no matter how you look at it! Skin color does not make or break an individual; however, (even in this day and age) it may or may not open doors of opportunity. I spent 31 years active duty in the US Army and let me tell you – everyone bled the same color when wounded – regardless of skin color. I have said all that to say that I do not assess BHO’s performance based upon skin color, I assess BHO’s performance upon the outcome of his policies and actions. He receives a failing grade because our nation is not better off; in fact, as BWU points out, we are worse off (by $Trillions) in just one short year.

This week on the Ten Buck Friday - Right Kilk site there is a pro-choice candidate, Doug Dubitsky, who publicly stated more than once he promises NOT to be a leader when he goes to Washington. He is a full-time attorney with a large Hartford, CT law firm, yet he puts out in his literature that's he's a farmer (part of the district is rural farms). Dubitsky got in some legal issues/trouble with the town where he used to live when he refused to resign from a town board when he no longer was living in that town. He wasn't registered to vote in the current town he lives in until a couple of months ago although he's lived there for years. He says he registered Republican for the first time in his life because (didn't like Reagan Republican years) he disliked Republicans and what they stood for. He is an opportunist who will say anything. In CT we are tired of the same old lies and deceptions. We have a strong, principled, conservative leader in Daria Novak and are supporting her. I live in a rural community but that doens't mean I am stupid! Don't you check out the candidates before you put them up on the site?

John Faulk is running against Queen Sheila Jackson Lee... who is still searching for the flag that Neil Armstrong left on Mars. She heard it may be hiding in North Vietnam. Just after she gets off her cell phone and away from this Town Hall Meeting, so she can speak at Michael Jackson's funeral. Ugh.
