TBF Spreading Like Wildfire!

*See updates below!

Maggie M. Thornton is promoting "Ten Buck Fridays."

The idea is simple, but powerful. Here's a description from Maggie's Notebook:

Conscientiously Conservative came up with a great idea. Each Friday she is donating $10 to a worthy conservative candidate now up to the November election. Several bloggers have joined the effort. Note that if $10 is too much, do less, or do more if you can. The point is to get it on our calendars and in our minds - rather than putting it off for another time. Unfortunately, it takes money to win an election today, and Democrats are flush, thanks to George Soros and MoveOn.org and all the ACORNs out there...

[Emphasis added]

Here's the latest encapsulation of the TBF concept:

1. Nominations for deserving conservative candidates are submitted to RightKlik on Saturdays. (Any interested bloggers could also host nomination posts).

2. Conservatives vote on the top 10 nominees through the following week (Online polling is shared by multiple blogs for cumulative votes).

3. Each Friday, the candidate who is #1 in the weekly online poll gets hit with hundreds of $10 money bombs (money goes DIRECTLY from the donors to the candidate).

4. Participants put the words "Ten Buck Fridays" in the online donation form so that recipients know what's happening!

TBF seems to appeal to conservatives, perhaps because it is decentralized and harnesses the power of the free market of ideas.

There are only 19 weeks left until the ultimate Tea Party on November 2, 2010. Make every week count!
