Dick Armey to Meet With Doug Hoffman

Dick Armey of FreedomWorks will meet with Tea Party activists near Syracuse, New York tonight.

Tomorrow, at 9:30 AM, he and Doug Hoffman will appear together at an event in Watertown, NY. Doug Hoffman is a CPA who is running for Congress in New York’s 23rd district; he is opposed by RINO Republican Dede Scozzafava. After the event, Armey and Hoffman will attend a luncheon in Syracuse, NY where Hoffman will endorse the Flat Tax. This is astounding in that Hoffman will be going against his own business interests as a CPA in doing so, but he believes the Flat Tax is better for the country.

Earlier in the week, Dede Scozzafava created a controversy over an interview by the Weekly Standard’s John McCormack. McCormack was asking Scozzafava questions that she did not want to answer and allegedly felt threatened, so either she or one of her aids called the police. An audio recording shows that McCormack never raised his voice. It is expected that Scozzafava’s overreaction to this interview will paint her as somewhat excitable in the face of difficult questions asked by a reporter.

In other developments, the Wall Street Journal posted an editorial that is favorable to Doug Hoffman. This could give him added credibility with donors.

Not sure how you put the name Republican in front of Dede Scozzafava. I think RINO in huge letters is more appropriate.

Did you hear the Hoffman interview with Glenn Bleck today?

You can read transcript here:

We predict Hoffman will be the frontrunner in the race in upcoming polls.

BB: Good point. I liked Mark Steyn's designation: DIABLO (Democrat In All But Label Only)

nacilbupera: ...thanks for the link. I think Hoffman has the vid posted on his site. Will provide links if I find it.

This is what we need real conservative independent candidates.

TM: They're few and far between. But when we find them, we need to fight for them.
