Left-Wing Racism Against Black Conservative Tea Party Supporters

Angela McGlowan, GOP Candidate (MS-01) speaking at a Tea Party

I have a dream that one day leftists will not judge people by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

A recent article from the AP reminds us that we probably will not see that day any time soon:

They've been called Oreos, traitors and Uncle Toms, and are used to having to defend their values. Now black conservatives are really taking heat for their involvement in the mostly white tea party movement—and for having the audacity to oppose the policies of the nation's first black president.

The author of the AP article goes on to reinforce the false stereotypes created by the left-wing media and puts her own ignorance on display:

As a nascent grassroots movement with no registration or formal structure, there are no racial demographics available for the tea party movement; it's believed to include only a small number of blacks and Hispanics.

This is absolutely false. Polling results released by Gallup on April 5 show that in terms of age, educational background, employment status, and race — Tea Partiers are quite representative of the public at large:

With a margin of sampling error of ±4 percentage points, these demographic data show that the Tea Party is a mirror image of the population.

While desperate Democrats continue to propagate lies about Tea Party inclusiveness, our black friend over at ABC refuses to crawl into the pigeonhole:

"You have to be honest and true to yourself. What am I supposed to do, vote Democratic just to be popular? Just to fit in?" asked Clifton Bazar, a 45-year-old New Jersey freelance photographer and conservative blogger.

These are the words with which the left hopes to keep American blacks "in their place". An attitude which has no "place" in America, in my opinion.

The Oreo accusation was leveled at a buddy of mine in college. Simply because she excelled on her own merit. Sad when a work ethic causes one to be viciously attacked. I support all who wish to throw off the chains of this type of modern slavery.

O6: That's a very good way of explaining it.

In High School, they had just started the Affirmative Action Program, My school counselor talked to me about it. He told me that I would be very desirable for companies to hire. I asked why. He told me because I had a Hispanic last name and looked like a white person, I am of mixed nationalities, that I was the type of person a company would want to hire. With me they would be hiring someone to meet their Affirmative Action Program and still get someone who others thought was "white". I was offended, and never talked to him about it again. I wanted to be hired because I was smart enough to do the job.

I then started putting that I was "other" and have always done that since then. Let them figure out what I am.

I tell my grandkids that they are Americans and that is what they think they are. They never say that they are a this american or a that american, they are just Americans.

We may have different views but we belong to one of the most wonderful countries of the world and should be proud of that fact. That is what is wrong with our country, we have not been taught to have American Pride anymore. They have this pride and that pride going on here but we need American Pride. When I was young we used to have it when we were taught to fight against Communism and Socialism.

There is something so wrong now when we have people running around saying that they have Communist and Socialist mentors, and they are proud of it. My hubby met someone who escaped from Cuba in the 60's and they said that all this talk of Communism and Socialism in this country is very scarey to them. They said that we had no idea of what we are getting into. No good will come from our country following this path.

We should just call people Tea Party people and non Tea Party people. Or just people who believe in the Constitution and those who don't. We need to stop looking at what color their skin is and start looking at how their brain functions. I can change the color of my skin just by laying out in the sun and getting a nice deep tan. Then I might not look so white skinned anymore, but my brain still works the same. My beliefs do not change if I change my skin color, my brain still thinks I am an American. It is what is inside of us that counts. Is my grandson who has dark skin different then the ones who have lighter skin? He is my grandson and all of my grandkids have a different color of skin and like me if they go out in the sun their skin will get darker. Does that change who they are? Never. They are my grandkids and they are Americans who love to drink Tea. They have their own thoughts and beliefs and I hope that I am teaching them to be proud to be an American and to accept people for their kindness and goodness of their hearts and brains. I tell them that an a-hole is an a-hole, no matter what they look like. A nice person is a nice person, no matter what they look like.

I cannot change how the whole world views each other but I can change how they do. And maybe if the MSM stopped putting people into categories according to their skin color, then maybe this will be a better place for my grandchildren. One can only hope and pray that this will someday happen and freedom will prevail.

May God protect our Constitution and save our country from those who are trying to destroy it from within. May God please help us succeed in keeping the US as the one free country in the world. May God protect those who are out there fighting for us to keep our freedoms. Thank you to all of you who are doing this.

God bless.

PS...sorry for such a long comment, but I seem to do this a lot.

That's an interesting story. My last name can be misleading too. Makes me wonder how many preconceived bubbles I've burst.
