Outrageous Obama Quotes: Updated

Interesting Obama quotes...many have been overlooked by the media...read them very carefully:

I don’t sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar, we talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick.

When there is a bill that ends up on my desk as the president, you the public will have five minutes to look online and find out what's in it before I sign it.

I'm always worried about using the word 'victory,' because, you know, it invokes this notion of General Umezu Emperor Hirohito coming down and signing a surrender to MacArthur.

Change will not come if you wait for some other person or some other time. I am the one you've been waiting for. I am the change that you seek.

We can drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times. That's OK. That's leadership. That's going to happen.

It's not surprising, then, when liberals get bitter, they cling to government or environmentalism or antipathy to radio talk show hosts or anti-capitalist sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

One point I want to make is that all of us are going to have responsibilities to get this economy moving again. And when I saw an article today indicating that Congress had helped itself to $200 billion worth of earmarks — when the entire system could come down on top of our heads — — that is the height of irresponsibility. It is shameful.

I don't want to just win, I want to give this guy who is running against me a spanking.

Now, my job is to communicate the fact that the United States has a stake in the well-being of the Christian world, that the language we use has to be a language of respect. I have Christian members of my family. I have lived in Christian countries.

Why can't I just waffle?

At this particular moment, with the private sector so weakened by this recession, I am the only entity left with the resources to jolt our economy back into life.

The idea of cloning Joe Biden is dangerous, profoundly wrong, and has no place in our society, or any society...

I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that. But I think it's fair to say...that the Cambridge police acted stupidly.

There's something about August going into September — where everybody in Washington gets all wee-weed up

How many people are getting insurance through their jobs right now? Raise your hands. All right...your employer...would see premiums fall by as much as 3,000 percent, which means they could give you a raise.

What if Barack Obama had campaigned on the things he has done since becoming president? He would be in the Senate, that's what. Hat tip: Boortz

Compulsive liar
But let me perfectly clear, because I know you’ll hear the same old claims that rolling back these tax breaks means a massive tax increase on the American people: if your family earns less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increased a single dime. I repeat: not one single dime. LIAR! Read about what BHO has up his sleeve. Hat tip: Adrienne

Is RightKlik unfair in referring to Obama as a Marxist?

My Daily Rant said what I was going to say!

To Saint O'Bama Day!

MDR: We've only scratched the surface.

HW: I don't even want to imagine what the St. O'Bama Day traditions might be like...

Rightklik-come on we have been *celebrating* since he took office. It is still a day about green...you know...all the green we have!(sighing sadly in NM)

RightKlik said...

HW: Oh, yes...of course. It's all about giving up the green.

Going green, seizing of the green, making us green with envy. He's as Irish as Paddy's Pig as me mother used to say!

Trish: Obama not Irish? You've forgotten...Obama is all things to all people.

Seriously, none of these "outrageous" quotes by the president are really shocking in any sense of the word. They actually make a lot of sense.

Like him or not, the man knows how to talk. Compare Obama quotes with Bush quotes and Obama looks like a scholar.

Rightklik, this post must have been a waste of time, huh?

Anon, I trust you noticed that these quotes were doctored.

Anon said... Like him or not, the man knows how to talk.

...Yes, as long as he has a teleprompter nearby.

P.S. Outrageous ≠ Shocking

anon: totally agree.

right klik: even with doctored quotes, theyre still not that bad at all. Watch any video of him giving a speech or talking to people. he doesnt need a teleprompter to speak well. even so, bush still couldn't speak well without one and mccain also uses a teleprompter. everyone does. and yes, shocking is a synonym for outrageous.

A synonym is a word that means the same thing or something similar as another word. I trust that you would know that. Evidently not. This is why I don't have any faith in right wingers.

LeftKlik: It has become clear that Obama has considerable difficulty expressing himself when his words haven't been prepackaged by his handlers. Obama has an unprecedented dependence on his teleprompter. You don't have to be "right winger" to see that:

We need a president who can form a coherent thought in real time when confronted with a challenging question. We need a president who can give more than an arrogant, perfunctory response to his political opponents at home. We need a commander in chief who can communicate assertively with our adversaries and opponents abroad.

More important than Obama's communication skills, or lack thereof, is his stupid and dangerous message. I could forgive BO for his inability to communicate effectively if his goals and objectives weren't so reckless.

RightClick has it spot on. in addition, have you noticed a pattern where Liberals tend to revert everything back to Bush?
