Your Post-Racial President

If you haven't seen it already, you must watch this:

How did BO get us so far off track? Shouldn't we be talking about the Cap and Trade bill or health care reform? Maybe Obama grew tired of talking about health care maybe he just wanted to change the subject when he made his racially charged remarks at his press conference on Jul 22. I doubt he was prepared for the subsequent plunge in his approval ratings.

Now that O has had an unsuccessful press conference, hopefully he'll stop having press conferences every other night.

[We take you back to your regularly scheduled program, already in progress.]

A Post-Racial President?
An 18th century philosopher said, "When I speak I put on a mask. When I act I am forced to take it off." Barack Obama's mask slipped for a moment last week but he quickly recovered, with the help of the media. But we should never forget what we saw.

Talk about double standards. Why is it with the blacks it is always about racism - get over it people. You are not nor ever have been slaves yet you are mired in that mindset of your ancestors. If this professor had simply acted as the gentleman he is supposed to be and answered the officer's questions none of this would have transpired. The officer was completely in the right to question this man. The caller did the right thing by reporting a possible break-in - you'd better believe Gates would have been screaming if there were a real break-in - what a horses a** that man is.

When is this nonsense going to end?

Don't answer that, I know the answer...........unfortunately

RG: I don't try to paint any race or ethnic group with a broad brush. I hesitate even to bring up the topic because it is so hard to discuss the topic without stepping on land mines. There are lots of people from every ethnic group and culture who see the world as nothing more than a contest between the races. I think that's unfortunate.

It's even more unfortunate that Henry Louis Gates and Barack Obama, in their positions of prominence, have chosen to cling to their prejudices.

Life doesn't have to be a zero sum game in which "they" lose if "we" win. Race baiters don't understand that. And they put themselves at a disadvantage by closing their eyes to the opportunities that we have to live symbiotically.

IHTSI: Over time, the ethnic groups will blend together. Our descendants will have to find creative new ways to hate each other.

I have to wonder if the comment by Obama was 1) racial red meat to his base of supporters or 2)intended to divert attention away from the discussion about Health Care Reform.

In either case, I think he bit off more than he can chew. I think he now has a tiger by the tail. Whites are just plain tired of all the PC affirmative action nonsense, and to see it called up by the man voted into the _Presidency_ in spite of his color (because of?) is just beyond the ability of most people to ignore any more.

Hussein O is a racist hater. end of story..there I said it!

Suek: Probably a good bit of both (red meat and diversion), but it failed so miserably, it's hard to know what he was thinking.

Anyone who thought Obama would usher in a post-racial era of harmony was clearly high on hopenchange.

DD2: Thank you.

WHT: I think Obama's views are probably close to those of Rev. Wright.

Thomas Sowell pretty much covers it all there, doesn't he? Obama must feel cornered because he is back to pumping out his campaign rhetoric.

DaBlade: Sowell...simple, clear and brilliant. Should be required reading for libs.

Great site Right Klik! Thank you for your visit and comments! I think Obama is falling not only in ratings but in the confidence of Congress. I think he thought that Congress would just roll over and do whatever he said. They are too busy looking after their own butt's now that Congressional ratings are so low.

Jennifer: Thank you.

Yes, Obama thought Congress would be his personal committee of yes men. Obama laments the fact that he can't just push a button and get what he wants from Congress.

Sorry Obama!

if he stops having press conference every night we will lose alot of good material.

RV: Good point. But if Obama News gets slow, Biden is always a good source of material...

ke the Rev's Sharpton, Jackson, Wright (all of whom Obama agrees w/) this Prof.Gates was "looking for an issue in his belligerent behavior, in assuming the officer was profiling him". The fact is, the neighbor called thinking his home was being robbed.....IF, the P.D. DID NOT show up, the Gates probably would have said: "they didn't come to the rescue because I am black".....when will these RACISTS stop living in the past and move forward and stop the 'reverse discrimination' they are so good at? I've NEV ER SEEN THE REV'S COME TO BAT FOR ANY WHITE PERSON, HAVE YOU?

Andrew: Very good point. No matter how things play out in a situation like that, people like Gates always find a way to play the victim card.
