Tweeting for Victory

Twitter is a powerful tool. You make friends quickly, learn as much as your brain can absorb, and exchange ideas with everyone from your next door neighbor to Glenn Beck and Karl Rove.

If you haven't tried it, or if you haven't gotten the hang of it, get on board. You're missing out.

Building on yesterday's blog post, here are 22 tweet-ready healthcare factoids and sundries. Spread the word!

  • Among those currently insured, 84% are satisfied with their healthcare. How many will be happy with ObamaCare? http://tr.im/sYr5
  • WHO ranked the US #1 (out of 191) for being responsive to patient needs, including timely treatments & choice of doctors http://tr.im/sXD6
  • Great gaffe of truthiness #13: Obama admits ObamaCare will create inefficiency http://tr.im/tgPw
  • Wow! Obama: "I won’t sign any health-care bill that adds to the deficit" Do you believe in miracles? http://tr.im/sZlO
  • Why Congress Is Exempt From Public Health Insurance (in a word: hypocrisy) http://tr.im/sWLz
  • There's an attending physician on call exclusively for Congress, & Congress enjoys VIP access to Walter Reed & Bethesda http://tr.im/VIPcare
  • No Democrat Co-Sponsors to resolution requiring them to use the "Public Option" they seek to push on America http://tr.im/HR615
  • Obama's healthcare rhetoric: promises, promises but bill adds to deficit, rations care & funds abortions (via @JimDeMint) http://tr.im/td8y
  • Reducing waste will account for 1% of ObamaCare "savings." 99% will come from reducing patient care http://tr.im/BitterPill
  • ObamaCare would be the same as government takeover - and that would lead to worse care http://tr.im/OCare
  • "If we’re able to stop Obama on [healthcare] it will be his Waterloo. It will break him" http://tr.im/Obamaloo
  • Democratic & Republican governors subject Obamacare to heated criticism http://tr.im/tcsn

See you on Twitter!

Never Twittered. I'm not bragging, nor am I embarrassed. Jus' sayin'. Assuming Obama's economy continues to collapse and I join the swelling ranks of the unemployed, I will need to start up the Twitter mobile. I understand it is a job requirement now.

I tweet. Are we following each other? It's too hard to keep up with. People add me all the time, and since I use Tweet Deck, it's hard to know who is following. If we aren't, find me and I will find you.

DaBlade: You should definitely be on Twitter. Your tweets would be brilliant. Sign up and get started by following my friends. You'll have a great time with it.

CR: Thanks CR. You know, I have trouble commenting on your blog. I can't get the comment box to come up. It's probably my slow internet connection.

BB: I'm following you now.

I have been trying to stay away from Twitter, but seeing how useful a tool it has been in Iran has given me pause for thought. This may become an indispensible tool in our near future. I probably need to sign up. Thanks for the reminder.

Good luck here and come visit me when you get a chance.

O6: The protests in Iran certainly opened my eyes to the power of Twitter. In a couple of days, I'll share a post about how Twitter got my story on the Glenn Beck TV show.

JKW: Thanks for dropping by...

I keep meaning to get on the Twitter bandwagon. I'm a baby boomer and therefore old-school, so bear with me!

Hi RK;
Twitter is an indespensable tool to any blogger. And, you use it masterfully to promote your great posts, and also put important info out there.

This post, as an example is just super, so full of info. You could send it to all the political creatures who can't be bothered reading anything, and they'd be right up to speed. That's why I follow & RT you a lot, it's just great info.

I've been on twitter since Feb. this year, and it's wonderful, and addictive. I had to make up a secret identity for work, (I follow U w/ that too).

Thanks for being the perfect example of how these things compliment eachother! I don't know what I did before Twitter!

PCC: it's easier than blogging. See you there soon.

WHT: You're blogging style has Twitter written all over it. It will be a seamless transition.

AB: I learned everything I know from great tweeps like Oh_No_Its_Me and Amusing_Bunni.
