Never Fear: Socialism Will Save the Day

From Newsweek: Barack The Savior?

Yes, Newsweek, we already know B.H.O. is your messiah.  What's with the question mark?

Newsweek tells us that if all goes as hoped, Barack will follow in Franklin Roosevelt's footsteps and "not only save the American economy but probably capitalism itself. How? By restoring it to health with a large dose of socialism." Some info for Newsweek and Barack the Master Economist:
  1. Socialism is not a solution.  Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy...but it is not a solution.
  2. Don't blame "free-market absolutism" or unbridled capitalism on our economic woes.  There has been no era of free-market absolutism or unbridled capitalism, at least not in living memory.
  3. Meddlesome government intervention, including socialism, is THE problem.
  4. FDR prolonged the Great Depression by 7 years with meddlesome government policies.*  Expect similar results from your anti-capitalist messiah, FDR Junior.
*Don't take my word for it, read about the UCLA study for yourself.

Your article is utter rubbish. Obviously you know nothing of history. And Mussolini made the trains run on time.

Dear anonymous,

Your intellectual prowess is overwhelming. Your searing logic and fact-based arguments are airtight. I have been led to an inescapable conclusion. I am too ignorant to blog, so I shall not blog again until I have educated myself well enough to write articles with which you can agree. Thank you for enlightening me.

P.S. Lenin is credited with the prediction that leftists in the West could be relied upon to be "useful idiots" as far as the Soviet Union was concerned. Though Lenin may never have actually uttered the phrase, it is an interesting quote to think about at times like these.

Yours truly,
