Fired From Government Job for Speaking at Tea Parties

Democratic official punishes tea partier for speaking about the Constitution:

"KrisAnne Hall, assistant state attorney in Live Oak, Florida, was fired after she refused to stop speaking to tea party and other similar groups. KrisAnne asked a federal judge for an injunction which would allow her to continue speaking and to prevent her from being fired by her boss, State Attorney Skip Jarvis. Mr. Jarvis fired KrisAnne Hall on Monday, May 24th shortly after receiving a copy of her federal complaint."

"[Jarvis] called [Hall] a good prosecutor, who crossed an ethical line with her speeches and radio appearances.

“'You can’t take a job advocating for the state and go out and take a position against the state,' Jarvis said. 'I advised her from my first learning of her activity that she was free to say and do whatever she desired within the law, but she could not do so while assistant counsel for the state.'”

"[Jarvis] said he felt bad for letting her go since she was 'the only breadwinner in her household' but had 'no other choice...'

"'She was speaking at some political events, some things were anti-state and anti-government,' Jarvis said by phone Tuesday morning. 'I emailed her and said look you can't do that as an assistant state attorney...'

"Jarvis said he knew Hall was speaking at certain gatherings and 'turned a blind eye to it' but when he received a complaint last month that Hall was speaking at gatherings that were 'discussing a desire for less government and smaller budgets,' he said he had to take action."

Less government? Smaller budgets? Shut the front door!

Take Dan Riehl's advice and stay till the end of this video when "the State Attorney says he'd love to have his old assistant back, the one 'before she decided she wanted to be the next Sarah Palin.'"

So if you do your job well, but you offend a sadistic government megalomaniac by reminding him of Sarah Palin, he's free to fire you? I don't think so.

I see the point this disgusting little pissant is trying to make. Democrats think that if you believe in smaller government, constrained by the Constitution, you're a hypocrite to benefit from government in any way.

No job for you!

This is a freedom of speech issue and as long as she is doing it on her free time then they should have no control over what she says. I bet if she was running around spewing progressivism views then they would promote her and give her a raise.

This is just the beginning of them trying to control what we say. Piss on them. This totally needs to go to the supreme court and if it is not upheld that she has the right to free speech then it will be time to start the revolution. Before we know it they will be trying to put all the Tea Party people into concentration camps and having neighbors spy on each other and turn them in for rewards, paid by our taxes. America needs to wake up and see this government for what it truly are.

Tea Party people need to go down to Jacksonville and protest until she gets her job back. Damn Attorney General who fired her needs to get his ass fired for doing this. But I am sure Obuyme and his people are trying to figure out if they can move him into a higher position.

Damn commies.

God bless.

Hi RIghtKlik!
What sad news. That poor woman, I know what it's like to be punished for stating your views, and I'm the only breadwinner in my house too!

I hope she gets a good lawyer and sues the crap out of them, her horrid boss is on record for the real reason she's gone.

Mrsupole: Hopefully the voters will fire her boss in the next election. Maybe he sees it coming.

TM: Free speech is so inconvenient for the statists.

TCL: I don't see how this guy expects to win in court.

AB: We'll have to keep an eye on this story.

New Immigration Laws: Read to the bottom or you will miss the message...

1. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools.

2. All ballots will be in this nation's language..

3.. All government business will be conducted in our language.

4. Non-residents will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.

5. Non-citizens will NEVER be able to hold political office

6 Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs. Any burden will be deported.

7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount at least equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.

8. If foreigners come here and buy land... options will be restricted. Certain parcels including waterfront property are reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.

9. Foreigners may have no protests; no demonstrations, no waving of a foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies. These will lead to deportation.

10. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be actively hunted &, when caught, sent to jail until your deportation can be arranged. All assets will be taken from you.

Too strict ?
The above laws are current immigration laws of MEXICO.... Not Ours! !
These sound fine to me. NOW, how can we get these laws to be America 's Immigration Laws?

I used to live there. Skip Jarvis is continueing a long tradition of Dem corruption and political prostitution in the SAO. The previous SA was the local Dem 'Bag-man', serving as local campaign finance chairman. Cases were prosecuted (or not) based on political connections and contributions. All the justice you can afford to buy!
There I learned Prosecutors DO lie, make the evidence fit the desired outcome, not seek justice as they are sworn to do.
Time to "muck out that chicken-house'!

According to the news story, Mrs. Hall exercised her first Amendment rights on her free time to show support for Sarah Palin. It's not like she was shoving her beliefs down her coworker's throats while on the job. That pissant jerkwad excuse of a boss needs to be fired, no questions asked. Damned liberal progressives. Sheeple in wolves clothing.

NOW is the time to start the Second American Revolution before the November vote. If not, FEMA has big plans for the rest of us whom will be labeled political dissidents.

Mrs. Hall, I applaud your stance against the Obama Agenda & supporting Sarah's fight to preserve moral Constitutional freedoms guaranteed by our forefathers. Thank you for being the spark this revolution needs. Will be praying for ya stright to the US Supreme Court.
