Last Resort…Spammin' 4 Obama; Update: Ocare More Unpopular Than Ever

Even Obama-friendly news outlets have been forced to admit that Obama's speech last week was not the game-changer they had been hoping for. Most polls barely showed a bump, and the one poll that did show a significant change (Rasmussen), has shown that Obama's gains have evaporated.

Meanwhile, in Congress, Democrats continue to fight over what appear to be irreconcilable differences. As moderates in the Senate have signaled that they are not on board with the proposals currently under consideration, liberals have indicated that they have reached the breaking point with the concessions they have already made. Republican support is now down to zero.

In the House, Democrats lack enough moderates to pass H.R. 3200 with the government option...but if they ditch the government option, the Democrats would lack enough liberals to pass the bill.

Forget bipartisanship, Democrats can't even figure out how to craft legislation that they themselves can live with!

After a brutal August, Obama and the Dems needed good news, but in the wake of Obama's appearance before Congress, there is little to be found. Van Jones, the ACORN explosion, the wildly successful anti-Obama March on Washington, the Joe Wilson non-scandal...nothing seems to be breaking in Obama's favor.

So Obama continues with the media blitzkrieg. This weekend, he plans an unprecedented appearance on five back-to-back Sunday news shows. It is rare for a president to appear on a single Sunday show, let alone multiple ones. Smells like desperation to me.

Not to leave any stone unturned, Obama has also called for help from his AstroTurf supporters on Twitter. On Tuesday, grasping at straws, Team Obama put out the following tweet:

Shortly after the tweet appeared, "health care '09" (#hc09) became a trending topic on Twitter. Most of the chatter was coming from ObamaCare supporters who had used Obama's propaganda machine on the OFA website to generate pre-approved spam slogans:

"I stand with the President's plan for health insurance reform."

"Let's make President Obama's plan for health reform a reality."

"This is the season for action. Its all about health reform in 2009."

"We need affordable health insurance for every American now."

Intrigued, I headed over to OFA to investigate. There, visitors enter their zip codes, and the Obama tweet machine spits out little pieces of spam, ready for immediate tweeting to the local Congressman or Senator. Nifty.

On the same page, a map shows Obama supporters popping up all over America with their Obama-friendly tweets flashing on the screen.

Tracking down the tweeters' Twitter pages, I made some interesting discoveries. Although some pro-ObamaCare tweeters appear to be genuine grass-roots Obama followers, some are highly suspect, others are clearly AstroTurf, and quite a few don't even exist. For example:

There is no AnnOwen58!

The next time someone brags about Obama's 2 million+ Twitter "followers", you can take it with a grain of salt.

Obama seems to be on a continuous campaign trail. His poll numbers just continue to plummet.

Remember Bluto in Animal House? "Who's with me? Let's go! AAAHHHH!!!"

Did you see the Washington Post/ABC poll. The more Americans find out about the healthcare plan the less they support it. Keep talkin' Dear Leader, keep talkin'.

I find that the more Obuggers poplarity goes down, the more desparet they become.

I just wish Obama could find time in his handling of worldwide issues to appear on TV and make a speech on healthcare.

And Obama and his Acorn/DemocRat Party always play fair. That's the way they do it in Chicago.

DaBlade: Old Hawaiian proverb: "If it don't work, why fix it?"

BB: Yeah, we're right back to where we were with HillaryCare in 1994!

CS: They're clearly grasping at straws now.

NG: A healthcare speech? Now THAT'S a fresh idea!

Can we please get some escape from this bum. He is even polluting Twitter! I wouldn't follow him if he was the one and only person on here. And to think we have to see him all over the news shows Sunday. I think I'll sleep in, or go to church Sun, instead of Sat. or water my yard. I can't stand this jerk one more minute.
