Left Wing Thought Police Win: Limbaugh Under Brutal Attack
Rush Limbaugh is under attack for mocking the Democrats' newest spokesslut, Sandra Fluke. A role model for upscale sluts all over America, Sandra Fluke wants more government in her bedroom and more government in your wallet.
Under pressure from the Democrat mob, advertisers and Republicans, Limbaugh was forced to apologize for accurately characterizing Sandra Fluke as a greedy slut.
A number of companies are pulling their advertising from the Rush Limbaugh radio show under pressure from left wing extremists who think conservatives don't have the right to speak:

Even if you believe that the word "slut" is a bit too harsh for a woman who wants government to force taxpayers and Christian institutions to pay for her abortions and sex accessories, do you think progressive extremists should be allowed to silence conservatives?
Do you think that these advertisers should penalize conservative satire while subsidizing progressive hate speech?
This hurts conservatives. It could have a chilling effect on conservative debate and conservative satire.
Left wing extremists will continue to abuse this tactic until we push back hard enough to make it stop.

Breitbart
Unlike many of my blogger friends, I never had the good fortune to meet or speak with Andrew Breitbart, but like everyone else in the conservative blogosphere, I enjoyed a big boost from his life's work.
One of the biggest stories ever broken here at RightKlik, the story of Think Progress's fraudulent anti-Tea Party video, got the attention it deserved only because it was amplified at one of Breitbart's mega websites, Big Government, via Bob Owens.
From there, the story spread like a virus, giving this humble blogger exposure at the New York Times, PJ Media, the Washington Times and at a host of great conservative blogs.
I'm disturbed by the fact that Breitbart died at such a young age. He should have lived another 40 years, at least.
Condolences to Andrew Breitbart's family.

Julian Savulescu's Bloody Evil: Making "Ethics" Irrelevant?

Julian Savulescu, editor of the prestigious Journal of Medical Ethics, wants more moms to kill their happy, healthy babies:
Both a fetus and a newborn certainly are human beings and potential persons, but neither is a ‘person’ in the sense of ‘subject of a moral right to life’. We take ‘person’ to mean an individual who is capable of attributing to her own existence some (at least) basic value such that being deprived of this existence represents a loss to her.As such they argued it was “not possible to damage a newborn by preventing her from developing the potentiality to become a person in the morally relevant sense.”The authors therefore concluded that “what we call ‘after-birth abortion’ (killing a newborn) should be permissible in all the cases where abortion is, including cases where the newborn is not disabled.”
In promoting barbarism under the banner of "medical ethics," Savulescu is turning his field of study into an unenlightened, illiberal, atavistic charnelosophy, hardly distinguishable from the moral codes of the 20th century's most industrious sociopaths. If the field medical "ethics" becomes morally repugnant, can medical ethicists expect to remain relevant?
I wonder if this "ethicist," Julian Savulescu, has thought about where all this could go.
What if newly enlightened legislatures around the world, inspired by Savulescu's persuasive brilliance, began passing "Savulescu laws," leading to a spike in infanticide?
Consider the possibilities... thousands of slaughter houses killing millions of fresh babies every year.
How about a bloody infanticide mill near Julian Savulescu's home? I'm sure it would boost the local economy.
There's no need to use expensive anesthesia for these nonpersons, right? The spine tingling screams could be heard far and wide. Music to Savulescu's ears?
What about devioius medical experiments? How about using healthy babies as lab rats before they're exterminated? It could be a great money-making opportunity for cash-strapped parents who are planning to kill their child anyway. Why waste a perfectly good opportunity to advance medical science?
Sometimes it's a good idea to move away from ivory tower abstractions to think about gritty reality.
Shame on BMJ Publishing Group Ltd and the Institute of Medical Ethics for promoting this obscene filth.
UPDATE: Poor Savulescu can't take the heat...
What is disturbing is not the arguments in this paper nor its publication in an ethics journal. It is the hostile, abusive, threatening responses that it has elicited. More than ever, proper academic discussion and freedom are under threat from fanatics opposed to the very values of a liberal society.
Hostile. Abusive. Threatening.
Coming from someone promoting the extermination of children, that's an interesting choice of words.

Obamney Wins Big. Set Your Hair on Fire!
Yay! Mitt Obamney (or is it Obomney?) wins two more states (AZ and MI)!
And Obamney managed to win despite the fact that he explicitly stated that he has no intention of worrying about what conservatives think.
"It's very easy to excite the [conservative] base with incendiary comments. We've seen throughout the campaign that if you're willing to say really outrageous things that are accusative and attacking President Obama, that you're going to jump up in the polls. I'm not willing to light my hair on fire to try and get support. I am who I am."
Well that's reassuring!
Everybody knows that you can't make conservatives happy unless you're making extremely extreme, outrageously outrageous, inappropriate, stupid, disrespectful, racist remarks.
So why even go there?

Ron Logic
I'm no fan of AllahPundit, but I think he got this one right:
Romney’s a natural Paul enemy too: He’s an establishment favorite, he paved the way for universal health care with his Massachusetts program, he’s considerably more hawkish than Paul, he has pro-choice roots, etc etc etc. Plus, insofar as he’s the consummate flip-flopper, he’s the anti-Paul; RP could have run a withering campaign against him emphasizing how likely Romney will be as president to shift with the political winds, especially vis-a-vis Paul himself. In fact, if you’d asked me before the debates began whom Paul would spend most of his time attacking, I would have guessed Mitt. What better way for a principled insurgent candidate to gain traction with the conservative base than by beating up repeatedly on a widely distrusted centrist for his betrayals of the cause? And yet … nothing....Paul’s advisors have been candid in interviews in explaining that his goal in running this time is to pile up delegates and gain some influence at the convention, either in terms of input into the party’s official 2012 platform or a primetime speaking gig or both. That being so, it’s only logical that they’d go easy on Romney. He was and is the likely nominee; the more helpful they are to him, the less resistance there’ll be to a convention role for the Paul family, especially since Romney will be nervous about alienated libertarians staying home if he freezes Paul out. RP tried running against the rest of the field in 2008 and got nothing from the establishment as thanks. This time, he’s taking a different tack. It’s working.

The clip predates the Occupy movement and the Tea Party -- and this is from a British show -- but it's as good a rebuke of naive anti-capitalist sentiment as any I've seen in quite some time.

It's only the miracle of consumer capitalism that means you're not lying in your own sh*t; dying at 43 with rotten teeth and a little pill with a chicken on it is not going to change that!

Obama's Satan
Somebody found a video of Rick Santorum talking to people at a Catholic school in 2008 about the Devil, a.k.a. Satan. (Apparently, talking to Catholics about Satan is a bad idea -- especially if you're going to be running for president several years from now.)
Question: Does Barack Obama believe in the Devil?
Obama is a Christian, isn’t he?
Last time Gallup checked, belief in the Devil was at 70% and rising.
Having come from Jeremiah Wright’s church, Obama might be inclined to believe in a Satan embodied by the United States of America, but that still counts, right?

Weird religion: Satan is against America. Normal religion: "God damn America."
