Adopt a Democrat (*Updated 4-12-10)

Amusing Bunni draws our attention to an important issue that has been raised by Dick Morris: What are we going to do about those cowardly Democrats who flipped to "yes" on ObamaCare with their second vote.

Here's the list: Betsy Markey (CO-04), Allen Boyd (FL-02), Suzanne Kosmas (FL-24), Scott Murphy (NY-20), Dennis Kucinich (OH-10), John Boccieri (OH-16), Bart Gordon (TN-06), and Brian Baird (WA-03).

All of these Democrats need to find themselves without a job in November. Follow these people. Follow where they get their campaign money. We need to make an example of them. None of them are invincible:

After we fire them (or when they retire from Congress), watch out for Federal appointments, patronage jobs, and cushy positions at lobbyist firms. Don't let them live the rest of their lives in pleasant obscurity.

We should not relent unless ObamaCare is repealed.

Because he is from my neck of the woods, I'll be paying close attention to Bart Gordon ― I've adopted him, if you will. Would you consider adopting a Blue Dog?

• Allen Boyd: Beaten in 2010, now works as a lobbyist for the Twenty-First Century Group.
• Suzanne Kosmas: Defeated for re-election in 2010.

• John Boccieri lost his bid for a second term in Congress in 2010. Now he's planning a comeback.
• Bart Gordon: Retired before the 2010 election, now a lobbyist at K&L Gates.
• Brian Baird did not run for re-election in 2010.

Obama LOVES Blue Dogs

A few people who can count on Barack Hussein Obama for loyal support:

1. George Hussein Onyango Obama

Barack Obama: "I am my brother's keeper, I am my sister's keeper. And in the wealthiest nation on earth right now, we are neglecting to live up to that call."

Ann Althouse: "Now, we know that Barack Obama doesn't 'keep' his actual brother — we remember George Hussein Onyango Obama, the brother who lives a hut — and it's clear that what he means is that government has the moral obligation to regard all citizens as brothers and sisters — I'm coining the word sibizens — and to care for them."

Okay, maybe George is not the best example.

2. Zeituni Onyango, Barack's Aunt

With her deportation hearing still six months away, the controversial Kenyan aunt of President Obama has quietly resurfaced in public housing in South Boston, the [Boston] Herald has learned.

“Beggars can’t be choosers,” Obama’s “Auntie Zeituni” Onyango, 57, told the Herald...

Sorry...another bad example.

3. Creigh Deeds (D, VA)

Shortly before Deeds lost the Virginia Governor’s race, "despite" Obama's help:

A senior administration official said Deeds badly erred on several fronts, including not doing a better job of coordinating with the White House...

“Deeds said he was puzzled by the comments from unnamed Obama administration officials who said that he had virtually no chance to defeat Republican Robert F. McDonnell and that such a loss would reflect on Deeds’s failings rather than on Obama’s popularity.

“It is frustrating to read, because that’s not what we’ve been hearing from anybody over there,” Deeds said. “I’m just not sure where the talk is coming from. It just doesn’t make sense. . . . There’s been no disagreements between us of which I’m aware.”

Ouch.

4. Blue Dog Democrats

The president, according to a senior Democratic aide who attended his discussion, told House Dems that newly-elected Rep. Bill Owens proved that members could run on a platform of comprehensive reform and still be elected to Congress.

"He said to look at Bill Owens," the aide recalled. "There is a House seat that's been in Republican hands for more than one hundred years [since 1993, actually]. But Owens didn't run away from reform. He campaigned on it. And he still got elected."

Blue Dogs: Go ahead, vote against your constituents on the Pelosi/Obama Health Care Takeover. Walk the plank. When Obama says he's got your back…you should believe it!
