Because the overwhelming majority of America's journalists graduated from the Journolist School of Left-Wing Advocacy, liberals in government are free to publicly nourish half-baked religious ideas without fear of being labeled as crazy religious fascists.
That may be just as well. When lefties wax religious, we gain insight into their feeble, twisted thought processes.
This week, we were treated to some of Nancy Pelosi's loopy quasi-religious thinking. To put this week's story in context, we have to flash back to May, and to really appreciate what a numb skull Pelosi is, you really need to watch the video:
Shorter Pelosi: "HR 3200 is my golden ticket to heaven, suckahs!"
This week Madame Pelosi had to eat her words:
Shorter Pelosi: "Answering that question with specificity … is above my pay grade.”
As an aside, I really have to ask: How much to do you have to pay a Democrat to give a straight answer about personhood?
In "Nancy Pelosi: Holier Than Thou," No Sheeples astutely notes that "Pelosi is selectively religious."
I think that's absolutely true. And to build on that point, let's focus in on the heart of Pelosi's weird statements:
"The Word. Fill it in with anything you want."
...and that's exactly what Pelosi does.
The Dems treat Scripture exactly the same way they treat the Constitution. They make it mean whatever they want it to mean.
