Graphic Government Warnings

The FDA has proposed graphic health warnings for cigarette packages and advertisements.

You can view the FDA's official proposals here. Below, you'll see how I've tweaked their messages to serve a broader audience:

"Future generations will have no problem paying off the debt ― as long as we each have 19 kids." (By the way, what have future generations ever done for us?)

Actually, the side effects of government regulations can be much worse than most people realize. Lives are ruined. Law-abiding citizens go to jail. Average Americans have become the victims of overcriminalization.

Some Contemplate Dying In 2010 To Avoid Paying Estate Tax

"...in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes." The Obama tax agenda could provide the opportunity to recombine the two.

...but only if you do something very irresponsible like eating an “everything” bagel from Dunkin’ Donuts.

CS gas was used at the compound, in order, as senior White House adviser George Stephanopoulos said, echoing senior Justice Department statements, to “try and pressure” those in the compound. It was hoped, he said, that as this “pressure was increased, the maternal instincts of the mothers might take over and they might try to leave with their kids” (Washington Times, April 23, 1995).

But the FBI knew beforehand that adults in the compound had gas masks; the gas therefore would not put pressure on them. On whom, then? If the FBI knew that the adults had gas masks, but went ahead with the gas attack anyway, it is plain that this “pressure” was brought directly against the children because, as the FBI knew, they could not fit into adult– size gas masks. “Maternal feelings”, the FBI hoped, would be unleashed in the mothers by watching their children choking, gasping and blistering from the gas.
David Koresh, the group's charismatic leader, and 70 others, including 20 children, died in the inferno.

Last but not least...

It's already been 10 years since the Elian Gonzalez tragedy, but the story still serves as a poignant reminder that "government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master."

I trust you'll agree that my government warning labels are more useful than the originals. Sure... smokers should understand the dangers of smoking, but every citizen should understand the dangers of Big Government.

Love the last paragraph, sums it up in a nutshell!

The look of terror in Elian Gonzalez's eyes does illustrate your point very well.
