My father and my grandmother both passed away within the past week. My father would have been 54 years old next month. He is survived his eight children, the youngest of whom is 16 years old.
I will be back in a couple of weeks. Prayers are appreciated.

ReplyDeleteOne can never know what someone is going through during this time and so all we can do is say that we are sorry for your loss. To lose your father and your grandmother so close to each other has to be more than most can bear.
ReplyDeleteIf I could sing the song Amazing Grace then that is what I would leave you with. Somehow that song is always so conforting, although CCR is good too.

I take comfort in the thought that they are in Heaven, and happy now, so we shouldn't grieve, but rejoice they are with God and all his Glory, we are the ones left behind, but someday we'll all be together again.

We each experience death of our loved ones differently, but it is important for you to take care of yourself at this vulnerable time of your life. Your dad was a young man and you had so much life a head of you to share with him, but I am sure he was very proud of you as your writings verify your strength of character.
