Mike Stopa has been able to garner national media attention. But we have very little funds. Mike stated on the Howie Carr show the other day that we just reached $5K. We need the money.

Well if your really having a hard time choosing you could always drop another ten dollars in the mail for one of your favorites on the list. Say for instance..... well .... Mike Stopa :-)

I am trying to enlist a couple famous bloggers on this, people who have helped us before. But these guys have such busy inboxes I may not get through in time for the poll.

Guys, win or loose (the poll) we do appreciate this. Your all invited to the victory party (the election).

@Shredderofmass - I'm wishing you luck with the famous bloggers. Even if they don't want to go with the whole program, if they would just talk about the winners each week and encourage their readers to go vote somewhere, that would be huge.

I will take a serious look at MikeStopa:-) Someone left a link to a Berwick video that I will put up later today and credit back to him.

We need Delia Lopez to win in our district badly. It's the greater part of Portland, Oregon where statism is deeply entrenched, which of course is why Earl Blumenauer, our current congressman, is right at home. We need a real statesman (or stateswoman) in Congress!

i am a democratic voter - consider myself independent - but actually have a mike crane for congress sign in my yard. i do not support the tea party's views in any way, other than to support their impassioned involvement in the political process.

none of my comments here are endorsed by mike; further, they may misconstrue his actual positions. but having talked with mike, i've concluded that he leans more towards a scott-brown-ish objectivism than a mitch-mcconnell obstinance-ism. in a georgia tea party voter guide, candidate after candidate indicated support for the fair tax con to push more of the tax burden to us in the middle class; mike simply said make the tax code simpler. he is for a form of consumption tax - as am i, but not as an across-the-board elimination of an income-based tax. to me, it seems that mike leans more towards an amnesty-based policy with illegal aliens - my words, not his - as he sees the stupidity of prosecuting those who came in when we left the doors open, and the impossibility of loading them up on barges and shipping them back to their countries of origin.

i do not intend to vote for david scott, the democratic incumbent; i am an obama supporter, but to mindlessly vote with him on every issue is as spineless as always voting against him. we don't need any more faux-'principled' voting, but intelligent compromise and a willingess to make one's own decisions.

i also will not vote for mike's run-off opponent, deborah travis-honeycutt, who seems very plastic and rehearsed in every debate i've seen her in. worse, she has raised millions in out-of-state contributions, and a georgia election is for georgians. finally, she dismisses the majority of scientific opinion on climate change by he use of the term 'greencanism' - an echo of fox news' consistent anti-intellectualism parading as free thought. if we need anything in congress, it's more people with brains, and not pre-formed opinions.

mike seems to be a reasonable man, with a good heart. both things seem in short supply from those most vocal on the right. and, to be honest, on the left. i differ with him on a number of issues, but i will support him in november.

An alternative path, or any form of "amnesty," would undermine our current laws and encourage more illegal behavior. We must preserve and enforce our laws and maintain our sovereignty. I will oppose any legislation that creates an alternative path to citizenship or "amnesty" for illegal aliens.
